A large field of European dressage riders gathered at the well organized and friendly CDI Fot in Budapest on 26 - 28 September 2014 for an autumn competition set in great weather. The CDI Fot was praised for its efficient organization but lack of English communication from the speaker. This did not refrain riders to produce great tests and put nice scores on the board.
The Grand Prix division had three different winners. Polish Tomasz Kowalski and his Romanov offspring Ragtime won the Intermediaire II with 67.737%, the Grand Prix with 67.920% and finished second in the Kur to Music with 68.975%. Kowalski took home an additional trophy as Best Foreign Rider of the Show. The Grand Prix Special, which had only two pairs, was won by Austrian Ulrike Prunthaller on Limotas. Austrian Alexandra Slanec and Lord of Dream won the kur to music with 70.275%.
Ulrike Prunthaller swept the entire small tour on the 9-year old Austrian warmblood Duccio (by Dimaggio x Coriograf B). She posted scores of 70.684% in the Prix St Georges, 74.026% in the Intermediaire I and 74.425% in the Inter I kur to Music.
In the youth riders divisions Hungarian pony rider Esther Neel and Hungarian young rider Barnabes Gemes swept their division, winning all three classes. Only one Junior Rider travelled to Fot, Russian Valeriya Belozerskikh.
