Show jumpers have been taking the spotlight at the Stallion Performance Testings this year in Germany. At the most recent three testings that concluded, three show jumpers once again were the overall high scorers. They are Cachassini, Streetfighter and Chacco's Son II.
At the last 70-day Stallion Performance Testing of 2014 in Schlieckau, Germany, show jumper Cachassini (by Cachas) came out as the best of the large group that participated there from 10 September - 18 November 2014. Cachassini scored top marks for his rideability and character and got 8s for walk and canter and 7s for his trot. He totalled 8.53 points with a 7.98 dressage score and an 8.95 jumping score. The highest scoring dressage bred stallion in Schlieckau was Amber (by Ampere) who scored an 8.20 overall score with 7.53 for dressage and 8.58 for show jumping. The highest individual dressage score was obtained by the Westfalian stallion Dragon Hill (by Damon Hill x Sandro Hit) who got 8.48 for dressage and an 8.18 overall score.
At the 30-day Stallion Performance Testing in Munster-Handorf, which concluded on 19 November 2014, it was once again a show jumper taking highest honour. The Oldenburg branded Streetfighter (by Stakkato) scored a whopping 8.80 overall mark with 10s for character and temperament. He got 9.50 for show jumping and 7.93 for dressage to total 8.80 points. There were many stallions scoring high marks in Munster-Handorf. Swiss Grand Prix rider Hans Staub's Westfalian stallion Segantini (by Silbermond x Florestan) scored a total of 8.78 with 9.04 for dressage and 8.23 for show jumping. The highest individual dressage score was achieved by Gestut Bonhomme's Hanoverian stallion DeLorean (by Dancier x Weltmeyer), who got 9.15 for dressage. With 7.65 for show jumping, DeLorean totalled 8.60 points. Helmut von Firck's Hanoverian colt Nymphenburg's First Ampere (by Ampere x Weltruhm) came close and got a 9.09 for his dressage score.
At the 30-Day Stallion Performance Testing in Neustadt/Dosse, which finished on 26 November 2014, René Tebbel's Westfalian bred Chacco's Son II (by Chacco Bleu x Lancer III) produced the overall top score of 8.66 points, with 7.79 for dressage and 9.35 for show jumping. The best dressage stallion was the Dutch warmblood Goldberg (by Amazing Star x San Remo) who totalled 8.52 with 8.66 for dressage and 8.30 for show jumping. The highest individual dressage score was achieved by the Belgian warmblood stallion Kozinsky van den Dries (by Quaterback x Clavecimbel) who earned an 8.99 for dressage. With 7.75 for show jumping, Kozinsky averaged a total of 8.34 points.
Three more 30-day performance testings are taking place in Germany right now, in Zweibrucken, Redefin and Schliekau. The last one will conclude on 19 December 2014.
