The FEI Dressage Committeee has appointed American 5*-judge Linda Zang on the Judging Supervisory Panel. Zang was invited to join the panel in December 2014 by Dressage Committee chair Frank Kemperman. Her term starts 1 January 2015.
"I was honored to be asked and accepted," the 68-year old Zang told Eurodressage. "I am looking forward to our first meeting and developing a close working relationship with the members of the panel. I hope to contribute to an openness and accountability in dressage competition at the highest level."
Linda Zang joins current JSP members David Hunt, Mary Seefried, and Henk van Bergen.
Zang was an international dressage rider before she became a judge. She competed with Fellow Traveller at the 1978 World Championships and 1979 Pan American Games, where she won team gold.
As a 5* judge Linda has officiated at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, the 1998 and 2006 World Equestrian Games, six FEI World Cup Finals, the 2003 European Championships in Hickstead and the 2009 World Young Horse Championships.
