When riders, horses, exhibitors, fans and horse enthusiasts, families and sponsors set off at the end of April to travel to Hagen at the Teutoburger Forest, a city with 14,000 inhabitants, the flags will be hoisted for a particularly awesome equestrian event at the foot of the Borgberg. It is time for Horses & Dreams, a time of the year when the Hof Kasselmann regularly radiates a special atmosphere.
It is perhaps this homey feeling everyone experiences each time the equestrian world meets in Hagen to launch the new outdoor season, combined with a thrill of anticipation to exciting sports at the highest level, the new host country and the annual meeting with friends “made by Horses & Dreams”.
The tenth strike – The “Aussies“ are coming!
From 22 - 26 April 2015 “Horses & Dreams meets Australia” will host a whole continent. The “Aussies” have to travel a linear distance of 14,612 km to participate in Hagen. Australia is not only the 10th host country at the Borgberg, it is also the one with the longest journey. Sounds from the Didgeridoo, breathtaking nature, exotic and poisonous animals, the Aborigines – its native inhabitants – and one of the most varied cuisines of the world; Australia is known for all these different properties.
“The challenge is to be as good as last year and to encounter the most exciting, most beautiful and maybe not yet known aspects of Australia,” says Organizer Ullrich Kasselmann and is already looking forward to meeting his Australian friends and all those who also want to discover Down Under.
Horses & Dreams has been inviting a host country to the Osnabrück area since 2006, featuring its traditional, cultural and peculiar specialties, combined with top-class sports. Countries such as the Sultanate of Oman, China, America, Italy, Mexico, Germany, Great Britain, Russia and Brazil already provided the setting to present amazing shows such as the “Kremlin Equestrian Riding School”, unforgotten concerts such as the original “Beach Boys”, polo legends from Mexico, acrobatic top performances with the “Chinese National Circus”, fast red speedsters from Italy and samba rhythms with a foretaste to the Soccer World Championships in Brazil.
