Forty-one colts passed the second phase of the 2015 Belgian warmblood stallion licensing and are eligible to participate in the third and final phase to achieve the licensed status.
The second phase of the BWP Licensing was held at equestian centre Azelhof in Lier, Belgium, on 22 - 24 January 2015 and was considered a success due to its great atmosphere and good quality of stallions.
One hundred stallions were presented on Thursday 22 January and a first cut was made on Friday evening, reducing the group to 66. On the final day 41 were accepted for the third phase, 27 of them are BWP registered and 14 are non-BWP. The third phase will take place in Moorsele on 19 - 21 March 2015.
Four dressage colts will move on to the third phase which includes an under saddle presentation. They are:
- Mac Donovan (BWP, by Sir Donovan x Cantos)
- Aragon (non-BWP, by Aarom x Lord Loxley)
- Hero (by Johnson x Ferro)
