Wim Ernes has decided to resign as chair of the KWPN Stallion Licensing Committee. He will step down from his post after the 2015 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Testing, which finishes on 14 November 2015.
Ernes has been a member of the KWPN Stallion Licensing Committee since 2007. He is assisted by Marian Dorresteijn and Reijer van Woudenbergh.
"It has become difficult for me to combine this responsible and time consuming job with my post as Dutch team trainer," Ernes explained. "Especially with the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro coming up it will become even more difficult. Despite that I have done this job for eight years with much pleasure. I really have grown a heart for KWPN, but still I had to decide not to complete my last term of three years (until 2016) on the licensing committee."
Ernes will stay on the job until after the 2015 KWPN Autumn Stallion Performance Testing. He will remain available for this year's young horse competition and the selection of the Dutch horses for the 2015 World Young Horse Championships in Verden.
