The Belgian warmblood licensing committee approved 30 stallions for BWP breeding after the third and final phase of the 2015 Belgian Warmblood Stallion Licensing which concluded on Saturday 21 March 2015.
The BWP studbook focuses primarly on show jumping breeding, but this year it approved two dressage stallions and even named one "licensing champion" following the model of the German studbooks which make a distinction between a dressage and show jumping licensing champion.
The BWP branded Mac Donovan (by Sir Donovan x Cantos x Coriolan) was named licensing champion in dressage. He is bred by Marc and Joric Vervecken and presented by stud farm Roshoeve. The other dressage licensed stallion is the KWPN branded Heros Begijnhoeve (by Vivaldi x Havidoff x Ahorn), bred and owned by the Belgian based Dutch rider Rob van Puijenbroek.
The licensing champion in show jumping was Manchester van 't Paradijs (by Elvis ter Putte x Kasmir van het Schuttershof), bred by Johan Rooms-van den Branden and owned by Christian Schröder. Three jumpers received a premium status. The reserve champion was Menko van de Wellington (by Echo van 't Spieveld x Clinton).
