German Grand Prix rider Falk Rosenbauer has been hospitalized after a serious accident at the national show in Redefin, Germany, on 1 May 2015.
Rosenbauer was schooling his 8-year old Rhinelander Fin Florimon (by Furst Grandios x Louis le Bon x Rocket Star) in preparation for the warm up class of the 2015 Nurnberger Burgpokal qualifier on Saturday 2 May 2015 in Redefin. Suddenly Anna Lena Kracht's stallion took off and crashed full speed into Falk and his horse. Rosenbauer had to be immediately transported to the hospital.
At the clinic he was diagnosed with a fractured thoracic vertebra. Falk hopes to leave the hospital on Sunday or in the next few days but will not be able to ride for six weeks.
