The freestyle finals in the pony and young rider division were held in the dressage stadium on Sunday 21 June 2015 at the 2015 CDIO-PJYR Hagen "Future Champions" competiton. Both kur classes were dominated by German future prospects. Pony rider Semmieke Rothenberger won the CDIO-P freestyle with Deinhard B and a final score of 80.12%. She was the only competitor at Future Champions to earn a score of 80%.
Silver went to Nadine Krause and Cyrill (78.58%), followed by Katharina Ottenweß and Mondsilber (75.87%).
CDIO Young Rider Jessica Krieg from Heinsberg claimed victory in the young rider freestyle final with her 13-year-old Hanoverian mare Revers Side (by Romancero H), scoring 74.75%. German Juniors Continue Success in CDIO Tour
The junior riders, who competed in the CDIO-J freestyle final on Saturday evening 20 June, were victorious. The trio that had already won the junior rider team competition finished one to three.
Especially Felicitas Hendricks, based in Hagen itself, benefited from her “home advantage”. She outclassed her team colleagues and the other competitors with her Fürst Piccolo-son Faible-As and a final score of 76.79%.
Hendricks simply likes Future Champions. “It was of course of great advantage that we know Hagen inside out, however, Faible is sometimes easily scared when to perform under tournament conditions,” the 15-year-old rider explained. She chose the freestyle music of her aunt Patricia Koschel. Faible-As seems to feel comfortable with the music of the Irish rock band U2. Rebecca Horstmann (Ganderkesee) and Kristin Biermann (Essen) completed the rankings with 75.35% and 75.33%.
German Young Riders Top CDI-Y Kur
The three top riders in the CDIY freestyle final, for example: Marcella Geiger from Sulzfeld near Ravensburg and Fulminant, claiming victory with 73.25%, and Jil-Marielle Becks and Damon’s Sattelite who came in second with 72.04%, followed by Johannes Rühl with Dante and 71.79%.
