“I am very excited to welcome Jessica to the High Performance team at Equine Canada,” said EC High Performance Director, Amie O’Shaughnessy. “Jessica’s distinctive background in both human exercise and equine sport science is a great asset to our ability to deliver a world-class performance program for the Canadian Equestrian Team. As the Performance Analyst, Jessica will be implementing a comprehensive performance analysis strategy, which is critical for optimizing sport performance and supporting our teams at all levels.”
As the Performance Analyst, Dilliott’s key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the strategic direction and delivery of all performance analysis support across multiple disciplines.
- Capturing, preparing, and analyzing performance data and providing reports and analyses to targeted athletes, coaches, and EC staff.
- Assisting coaches and sport science practitioners in identifying and quantifying physiological requirements for optimal sport performance.
- Working collaboratively with coaches, EC staff, and key stakeholders to share best practices, facilitate learning and development, and exchange information that can be used to make performance decisions and support athletes and coaches toward the podium.
“I am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic and innovative team as EC,” said Dilliot, who relocated from North Bay, ON to take up her post at the EC office in Ottawa, ON. “The position of Performance Analyst provides an ideal platform to be able to transform my long-standing passion for both human and equine athletes into real contributions to the high performance program, and the organization as a whole. I am incredibly excited about the direction of our nation’s ever-strengthening high performance programs and feel fortunate to be part of it during such an exciting time.”
