Swedish dressage rider Ida Kristoffersson has been nominated for the 2015 Comet of the Year Award which will be awarded at the 2015 Swedish Riders Gala in Stockholm on 25 November 2015.
The Comet of the Year is an award and title bestowed on the most successful Swedish shooting star of the year. The award is an initiative of the Swedish equestrian magazine Tidningen Ridsport. Three riders, one for each Olympic discipline, are nominated and in the running to win the award.
This year dressage rider Ida Kristoffersson was nominated alongside show jumper Charlotte Mordasini and eventer Erika Sjostrom.
Ida Kristoffersson made her name and fame on the Swedish warmblood stallion Rolex TP (by Ron William x Inselfurst) which has proven to be a handful. Kristoffersson's perseverence and dedication led the pair into the Grand Prix arena. They are currently competing on the Swedish Under 25 show circuit and have won two qualifiers out of three in the Lövsta Future Challenge. She also finished 11th at this year's Swedish senior Grand Prix championship.
