Ullrich Kasselmann will be hosting the 2016 Global Dressage Forum at his equestrian centre Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Germany. The news was announced at the 2015 Global Dressage Forum in Hooge Mierde, The Netherlands, on on Tuesday 27 October.
Princess Benedikte of Denmark, who is board memeber of the Global Dressage Foundation, announced the relocation of the Forum in 2016.
The Global Dressage Forum has been hosted at Bartels Academy in Hooge, Mierde, The Netherlands, since its inception in 2001. In 2015 the event relocated to Blue Hors stud in Randbol, Denmark, for the first time.
In 2013 the GDF organizing committee, the Global Dressage Foundation, decided to alternate locations to keep the format attractive and more global. Blue Hors Stud was the first "foreign" venue for the GDF and Hof Kasselmann will be the next in 2016.
"We are proud to welcome the GDF at Hof Kasselmann next year. We surely won't disappoint you," said Ullrich Kasselmann. "We are only 'a small farm'," he added jokingly.
The team behind Hof Kasselmann is very experienced at organizing world class events, including the annual CDI Hagen Horses and Dreams, CDIO-PJYR Hagen Future Champions, the annual PSI Auction, the 2005 European Championships and the 2015 CDIO Hagen Nations' Cup.
The 2016 Global Dressage Forum is tentatively scheduled for October 2016.
