Beatrice Buchwald and Matthias Bouten were the winners of the big tour classes at the international indoor competition in Oldenburg, Germany, on 13 - 15 November 2015. Buchwald posted the big scores on the board with Weihegold, while Bouten claimed the Kur on Sohlein Brilliant MJ.
Isabell Werth's assistent rider Beatrice Buchwald and the Oldenburg mare Weihegold (by Don Schufro x Sandro Hit) are hailed in the German press as the biggest rising stars of the country and hopefuls for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Alongside Sönke Rothenberger on Cosmo, Buchwald is labelled as one to watch in 2016.
The Rheinberg based professional posted scores to iompress with a winning 74.720% in the Grand Prix and 74.902% in the Special.
Matthias Bouten and the Austrian owned 13-year old Hanoverian Sohnlein Brilliant (by Shakespeare In Love x Rabino) won the Grand Prix Kur to Music with 76.475% after placing fourth in the Grand Prix with 70.800 %.
Former German young rider team member and U25 rider Charlott Maria Schurman can stand her own amongst the seniors aboard her gorgeous Hanoverian stallion Burlington (by Breitling x Rohdiamant). Trained by Klaus Balkenhol, the dup was second in te Grand Prix (73.000%) and Kur (75.725%)
