During the 2015 World Dressage Masters in Roosendaal on 2-6 December at Equestrian Center Den Goubergh an international dressage horse auction, Auction4Good, will be held on Thursday evening, 3 December 2015. The auction is an initiative of the Dressage4Good Foundation and Cors van Engelen Heemskerk of Heemskerk BV, Global Horse Company.
WDM is hosting the auction because they believe a high quality equestrian event as WDM and a high quality auction can complement each other. Transparency, the international character and the connection with a good cause have always been important to WDM.
Auction4Good will offer 14 talented young dressage horses (including 2 very good ponies) in the age of three to seven-years-old. The selection committee is able to add one or more wildcards to the auction collection. We are always on the look-out for talented dressage horses of which we think they match with the auction’s target group. 1 per cent of the total revenue will be donated to a good cause. This year the donation will go to the ‘Stichting ParaPaard’ (ParaHorse Foundation), an organization that strives to help make equestrian sport possible for anyone with a handicap.
All horses will be of guaranteed quality and checked by the selection committee, Cors den Engelsen Heemskerk (chair), Alfons Geerts (veterinarian) and Dana van Lierop (international dressage rider). All legal matters are supervised by AKD Lawyers & Notaries. The experienced Dirk Zagers from Belgium will act as auctioneer. He has successfully led numerous auctions in Belgium and abroad.
Cors den Engelsen Heemskerk: “It is a big advantage to be able to make use of the international World Dressage Masters platform, combined with the perfect venue of Den Goubergh. Through this auction we support the Sports Foundation ParaPaard. It is a privilege for us to be able to contribute to this.
Davanti
One of the top horses of Auction4Good is the seven-year-old Davanti, son of dressage icon Jazz, who needs no further introduction. His dam has already produced the Jazz offspring T’Avanti. She acts on Small Tour level and was Dutch Champion on third level. Davanti is a beautiful horse with a fantastic foreleg action. He has a good walk, a very expressive trot and a strong, scoopy canter. The elegant black gelding is ahead of his peers in both his development and training. Davanti is superlatively suitable for a Junior or Young Rider wanting to attract attention in the Grand Prix ring in a few years time. Thanks to his talent and cooperative character, Davanti has a wonderful sports career ahead of him.
