Italian Grand Prix rider and crowd favourite Silvia Rizzo continues to sign more sponsorship deals with major companies in and outside the equestrian world. Rizzo got new horse power in her stable after adding the prestigious BMW car brand to her list of supporters. She picked up a brand new BMW M5 Limousine at BMW dealership Helming & Sohn.
The prestigious car brand BMW approved the sponsorship in Munich, Germany, after it was proposed by and finalized at dealership BMW Helming & Sohn in Lingen, Germany. Rizzo received her new wheels on Thursday 19 November 2015 from VIP-sales and fleet manager Thomas Berning, who handed over the keys to her black BMW.
"I've always been driving BMW, from sports models to the X-drive SUV, and absolutely love their power and reliability," Rizzo stated. "I enjoy driving such high quality cars and they truly equal my ideals for the equestrian sport: elegance, performance, and safety. I am honoured that Mr Berning and Helming & Sohn are supporting me and my dressage career with this car. They had seen my website and noticed all the positive online news and convinced BMW to look into dressage as part of their BWM equestrian sport sponsorship plan."
BMW has been closely involved with equestrian sport for years. They are long-time sponsors of polo sport in St. Moritz, horse racing in Germany and they are title sponsors of the annual Hamburg Dressage and Show Jumping Derby.
"Silvia has been driving BMW for many years and we are ecstatic to have her as a loyal customer at our main dealership in Lingen," said Thomas Berning. "For the future we wish her a very happy drive in her new car and much success at the horse shows."
Rizzo and her Lusitano stallion Sal (by Mississippi x Golega) have just begun their winter indoor show campaign at the World Cup Qualifier in Lyon, France. Each the ever-smiling Silvia has been competing in Lyon she qualified for the Kur to Music; this year for the third time and she got a thunderous applause from the crowd during her final salute with her fun filled freestyle which appeals to the audience with its poppy tunes and creative choreography.
The 39-year old Rizzo is the only Italian rider able to boast a massive list of sponsors that are eager to support her career and attach their brand to her personality and public appearance at equestrian events. BMW Helming & Sohn joins Kep Italia, Accademia Italiana, Stivaleria Secchiari, SSG Gloves, MDC stirrups, Champion Performance Imports, Wellington Dressage Boots and Judi Manche on the list.
