The Foro de Opinion El Caballo Espanol for the past eight years has recognized institutions and individuals for their work in favor of the PRE Horse around the world. The President of USPRE Kim Boyer accepted the award on behalf of the association at the Real Circulo de Labradores in Sevilla.
The event was attended by renowned personalities related to the Pure Spanish horse, including former presidents of ANCCE Carmen Martinez de Sola, Ignacio Candau, Adolfo Sanchez Movellan and Javier Conde, plus members of the current Executive Committee such as Ignacio Candau Cruz Conde, and several breeders including Alvaro Domecq, Jaime Guardiola and Maria Fernanda de la Escalera.
During the ceremony, Ernesto Vazquez, president of the Foro de Opinion-which counts among its members breeders and equine specialists, all who love the PRE-thanked USPRE for the support it has provided the PRE horse "through the efforts of its president Kimberly Boyer".
Among its other activities, USPRE (United States PRE Association) has promoted the PRE horse through the organization of training events and by raising awareness of the breed, always looking for its advancement. As an example, Ernest Vazquez cited USPRE Week, which is celebrated annually in Wellington at the beginning of the year.
Kimberly Boyer received from the hands of President Ernesto Vazquez a sculpture of the Parthenon with a figure of a horse, recalling a time when the equestrian arts were as valued as architecture or music.
Thrilled to receive this recognition for the work of USPRE, president Kimberly Boyer explained that the association is a non-profit organization, in which all income is engaged in promoting the Spanish horse and which assists in many aspects of registration in the studbook for the PRE breed.
USPRE, with Kim Boyer at the helm, is working to convince equestrians in America that the PRE horse provides "a valid alternative to the Northern European breeds". This effort on behalf of the PRE horse has resulted in significant growth in terms of members and services. In 2015, USPRE has seen overall sector growth of 25% and the number of members is now close to 600.
