The 5-year old Westfalian bred Day of Dream (by Dream On x Florestan) was proclaimed champion of the 2015 German Sport Horse (ZfDp) Stallion Licensing in Rieden-Kreuth on 12 December 2015. Not one week later the black was stripped from his title.
Three stallions were named premium colts and all three were Westfalian bred, two of them were show jumping bred.
Forty-four stallions were included in the licensing collection and Day of Dream was named champion of the dressage stallions. This colt is bred by Katharina Hadeler and owned by the Dutch dup Arthur Verbroekken and Laila Smits. ZfDp breeding director Hans Britze praised the black stallion for being "a modern sport of the exclusive kind."
Other licensed dressage colts at this licensing were for instance Ballantines (by Beltano x Florestan x Julio Mariner xx), Fieston (by Furstenball x Hohenstein x Weltmeyer), DJ Deluxe (by Destano x Harvard x Weltmeyer), Dasharo (by Destano x Londontime), Montes (by Millennium x Hofrat x Artistic Rock), a nameless Schwarzgold x Fidermark x Davignon offspring and a nameless For Romance x Weltmeyer x Bogenschutze colt.
Day of Dream, however, lost his champion's title not a week later when the German Sport Horse Studbook discovered that the stallion was operated on both his hocks for chips. Chip-operated stallions are not allowed at their licensing. According to Zuchterforum, the owners claim they were not aware of operation when they acquired the horse.
