Denim de Hus was named dressage champion of the 2015 AES Stallion Licensing which took place at equestrian centre De Molenheide in Schijndel, The Netherlands on Saturday 19 December 2015.
This was the second AES Stallion Licensing held in 2015. The previous edition this year took place on 13 April 2015, where 30 stallions were accepted.
One dressage bred stallion received the "registered" status and two were proclaimed "licensed". The AES studbook makes a distinction between registered, licensed and approved. "Registered" is the basic level of grading and registered stallions can cover up to 10 of their owner's mares per annum. "Licensed" stallions should be competing in age classes and can cover up to 30 mares per annum. "Approved" is the maximum level of grading and usually applies to stallions competing or that have competed at an International level. They need to have proven offspring. Approved stallions can cover an unlimited number of mares.
The dressage champion was Denim de Hus (by Don Juan de Hus x Rohdiamant x Grundstein II). This Oldenburg registered colt comes from the Rumirell dam line and was bred by Haras de Hus in France and is owned by Miranda Eigenraam.
The stallions accepted for breeding for the AES are:
- World Wide Wonder van het Anserland (by Weissgold GF) - owned by Nathalie van Klaveren - registered
- Denim de Hus (by Don Juan de Hus) - owned by Miranda Eigenraam - licensed
- Impacht BH (by Apache x Jazz) - owned by Black Horses - licensed
