Daphne van Peperstraten and her top pony Don Camillo du Bois became the winners of the first leg of the 2015-2015 KNHS FEI Pony Cup show circuit which kicked off at equestrian centre De Kroo in Nieuw en St. Joosland, The Netherlands, on Monday 28 December 2015.
The "KNHS FEI Pony Cup" competition is a show circuit for Dutch FEI pony level riders with a series of qualifiers and a finals. The qualifiers are team observation trials and count for squad selection and CDI participation.
At the first qualifier in Nieuw en St. Joosland judges J. van der Harst, A. hertzberger and E. Beijer assessed the Z2-pony level test. Holland's 2015 Pony Champion Daphne van Peperstraten proved to be ready for her winter campaign on her bay gelding Don Camillo du Bois (by Dornik B). Coby van Baalen's student posted a winning score of 74.15% to stay far ahead of all competition. She bested a field of 32 riders
Daphne's 2015 European Championship team mate Zoe Kuintjes and her grey gelding Elin's Nonsisdador (by Nostradamus) landed second place with 70.68%, edging out Kim Noordijk on the elegant black Brasil (by Sandokan's Leonardo) by a fraction of a point (70.47%).
