The third leg of the 2015-2016 KWPN Stallion competition, which was supposed to take place in Zuidbroek on Tuesday 5 January 2016, has been rescheduled for Monday 11 January 2016. The organizers of the Indoor Groningen event in Zuidbroek were forced to cancel Tuesday's show day because of extremely icy roads.
The Zuidbroek leg of the KWPN Stallion Competition was the third and final qualifier leading up to the Finals which will take place at the 2016 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, in February. Twenty-six horses were originally entered to compete there.
The KWPN society has now decided that due to the rescheduling of the event it is no longer mandatory for the combinations to participate in this third leg before competing at the finals in Den Bosch.
"The final ranking, however, will be determined by the three qualifiers as well as the final competition," the KWPN office posted. "Without competing in Zuidbroek, one will have a disadvantage going into the finals."
