The United States PRE association has announced the dates and locations of the events in Florida and California, which will count for the 2016 USPRE High Point Series.
The Florida series is held at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, FL. The California series has been split up with events in southern and northern California.
The Florida series includes:
- GDF Week 1 CDI-W - January 13-17
- GDF Week 3 CDI-W - January 27-31 (USPRE WEEK)
- GDF Week 5 CDI 5* - February 10-14
- Palm Beach Derby CDI-W - March 3-6
- GDF Week 12 Nations Cup CDIO - March 29-April 2
Please note the following directives for the USPRE Florida High Point Program:
- All contestants (rider or horse owner) must be USPRE members in good standing.
- Three Grand Champions (National Level, FEI Level and Youth Rider) will be named following the end of each respective series (California and Florida). There will be no distinction made for CDI or Open/AA in determining Grand Champions.
- Grand Champions will be determined by the sum of their three highest scores at the same level, from two separate shows. Contestants may participate in more than two shows to obtain their three highest scores for submission.
- Scores may be submitted only from the highest level at which the horse has competed with the current rider.
- FEI level is reserved for adult riders. Youth Riders have their own category.
- Grand Champions will receive a USPRE Riding Jacket.
- Scores must be a minimum of 62% to qualify for a High Point award.
- Freestyle scores do not apply.
The California series includes:
Southern California:
- April 28 - May 1: Del Mar Dressage CDI - Del Mar
- June 18 - June 19: Summer Dressage II, Soomis
- July 9 - July 10: PEC Dressage Show - Wilton
Northern California:
- May 28 - May 29: Dressage Derby II - Vacaville
- June 4 - June 5: Dressage at the Gaits - Hollister
- July 155 - July 17: Woodside Summer Dressage - Woodside
Please note the following directives for the USPRE California High Point Program:
- All contestants must be USPRE members, or pay a one-time $100.00 entry fee for 2011 to USPRE to participate in the High Point Challenge Series.
- Two California Grand Champions (National and FEI) will be named following the end of their respective series'. There will be no distinction made for CDI/JR/YR/or AA in determining Grand Champions.
- Grand Champions will be determined by the sum of their two highest scores at the same level, from two separate shows. Contestants may participate in more than two shows to obtain their highest scores for submission.
- Grand Champions will receive a USPRE Riding Jacket. This jacket usually is awarded by the end of the year.
