Londonfly, Price Highlight of the 2016 Hanoverian Winter Auction

The 6-year old chestnut Londonfly became the price highlight of the 2016 Hanoverian Winter auction held in Verden, Germany, on Saturday 23 January 2016.

The chestnut Londonfly (by Londontime x Cordoba) is bred by Hinni Lührs-Behnke and sold for 150,000 euro to Switzerland. 

The 7-year old grey show jumping bred mare Cinderella (by Clinton x Calypso II) sold for 130,000 euro to France. 

The third most expensive horse was the 4-year old mare Fascination W (by Foundation x Sandro Hit). It moves abroad for 48,000 euro.

The 4-year old stallion Black Devil, sired by jumper Balou de Rouet out of a Contendro I dam and promoted in Verden as a dressage horse, sold for 41,000 euro.  The 5-year old gelding Shirkaan (by Sir Donnerhall x Cheenook) achieved a knock down price of 36,000 euro.

Ninety-two sport horses in total were sold at this auction and they achieved an average price of 17,244 euro.

The 2016 Hanoverian winter auction was interrupted for an hour by a fire alert and the audience was evacuated from the building. The local fire brigade inspected the arena and confirmed the false alert. After an hour the auction was able to resume.
