The Dutch A-Team keeps expanding with the new combinations and horses. This week the Dutch equestrian federation announced that Hans Peter Minderhoud's Romanov has earned his third A-team score and has been resubmitted to the elite squad.
Romanov is a 16-year old Oldenburg stallion by Rohdiamant out of Rumirell (by Grundstein II x Akzent II) and owned by Austrian Gaston Glock.
After a break of more than one year from the competition ring, the beautiful bay stallion made his come back with Minderhoud at the 2015 CDI-W Odense last October, where they finished third in the Grand Prix with 73.320%. They went on to the CDI-W Salzburg (68.080%), followed by the 2016 CDI Drachten at the beginning of January, where they posted a Grand Prix score of 69.180%.
Minderhoud obtained his A-team scores at a national show in Nieuw en St. Joosland last weekend, where he earned 72.77%. His other two A-team scores were achieved at the CDI-W Odense and at a national event in Vorden, The Netherlands.
Minderhoud has now three A-team listed horses: Johnson, Flirt and Romanov. The Dutch A-team currently includes Adelinde Cornelissen (Parzival), Edward Gal (Undercover, Voice), Katja Gevers (Thriller), Danielle
Heijkoop (Siro), Patrick van der Meer (Zippo), Hans Peter Minderhoud
(Johnson, Flirt, Romanov), Emmelie Scholtens (Apache), Diederik van Silfhout
(Arlando, Bonzanjo, Vorst) and Tommie Visser (Vingino).
