French Grand Prix A-squad listed Grand Prix horse Rossini has been sold for 83,000 euro in an executorial auction at the February Mixed Sales held by aution office Arqana in Deauville, France, on 8 February 2016.
The 13-year old Bavarian bred Rossini (by Rivero II out of Domenika by Charivari) was not privately owned, but registered with the French company Biosem, which went bankrupt. This sale was part of the compulsory liquidation of Biosem.
Under Anne-Sophie Serre, the chestnut Rossini became 2012 French Reserve Champion at developing Grand Prix level and claimed that tile in 2013. The pair was A-team listed in France in the Olympic/WEG squad (JO-JEM) in 2014.
Arqana did not reveal the name of Rossini's new buyer.
