The Dutch Equestrian Federation has announced the long listed riders who will be considered for the Dutch Olympic team that will compete at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio on 9 - 15 August 2016.
Maarten van der Heijden, topsport director of the Dutch Equestrian Federation, announced the long listed riders as well as the official team observation/selection trials at the 2016 CDI-W 's Hertogenbosch on Friday 11 March 2016.
The CDIO Rotterdam (23 - 26 June 2016) and the 2016 Dutch Championships (14 - 17 July) have been pin pointed as team observation/selection trials. On Sunday 17 July 2016 Dutch team trainer Wim Ernes will announce the Olympic dressage team.
Thirteen riders have been selected for the long list as Dutch Olympic team candidates. Those riders are:

The dressage horses fly to Rio on Monday 1 August from Liege airport in Belgium.
