Pony rider Jitske Prosman and Young Rider Lisanne Zoutendijk have both been promoted to the Dutch A-team after achieving their third A-team score at the squad observation trial in Berkel-Enschot last week.
The 15-year old Jitske Prosman and her Dutch bred chestnut mare Charina du Bois (by Danny Gold) scored 70.81% at a national show in November, 70.60% at the CDI Drachten in January and 71,67% at the FEI Pony Cup competition in Berkel-Enschot.
The Dutch pony A-team now has five combinations on the squad from which the team will be picked for the 2016 European Pony Championships to be held in Vilhelmsborg, Denmark, in August. The A-team pony riders are Jitske Prosman, Guusje van Heeswijk (Heidehof's Don Diego), Zoe Kuintjes (Elin's Noncisdador), Kim Noordijk (Brasil) and Daphne van Peperstraten (Don Camillo du Bois, Wonderful Girl).
Lisanne Zoutendijk, who is contesting the junior and young riders division this year, scored her third Young Riders A-team score on Watteau (by Jazz). The 18-year old scored over 69% at the national show in Vragender, after achieving a 69.04% at the CDI Drachten. Last week in Berkel-Enschot they scored a 70.22% in the Dutch Junior-Young Riders cup qualifier.
The Dutch Young Riders A-team currently has three riders: Lisanne Zoutendijk (Watteau), Jeanine Nekeman (Vlingh) and Jeanine Nieuwenhuis (Athene).
