Patrik Kittel and Anabel Balkenhol were the winners of the two key dressage classes held in the Almased Dressage Stadium on the final day of competition at the 2016 CDI Hagen Horses & Dreams Meets Denmark at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Germany. Balkenhol won the Louisdor Cup qualifier and Kittel the CDI Kur to Music on Sunday 24 April 2016.
Patrik Kittel and the Silvano I-daughter Deja danced, like last year, to place one on the rostrum, finishing their performance with a final score of 80.3%. Second and third place went to two lady riders in the German team. Jessica von Bredow-Werndl earned 79.50% with Zaire BB – Fabienne
Lütkemeier from Paderborn finished with 77.05% on the back of
D’Agostino.
“This was a fantastic finish of a successful weekend for me. Deja was again super and showed excellent performances to the music,” the Swedish rider happily said and was delighted about his mare and the victory. “Thanks to my horse and also to the Organizer who has again set up a fantastic tournament.”
The 15 best duos from the national Intermediaire II class, which served as warm up round for the 2016 Louisdor Cup qualifier for developing Grand Prix horses, were invited to compete in the short Grand Prix test on Sunday. Anabel Balkenhol from Rosendahl won again, piloting her Trakehner stallion Heuberger to 74.93%. The two qualified for the Final of the Louisdor-Prize, held in Frankfurt in December.
Only four more qualifying venues provide the riders the opportunity to qualify their young Grand Prix-horses for this Final. Second place went to Kathleen Keller from Salzhausen-Luhmühlen, earning 74.61% with San Royal, relegating the Norwegian Isabel Bache, who is working with Paul Schockemöhle, and Sam's Ass to third place.
