Dutch pony team member Zoe Kuintjes and her grey gelding Elin's Nonsisdador were on form at the 2016 KNHS FEI Pony Cup qualifier held in Almelo, The Netherlands, on Saturday 23 April 2016. The Almelo event was the fourth leg of the Dutch Pony Cup circuit which counts as a squad selection event.

Kuintjes and her German bred pony by Nostradamus topped the leader board with 73.72%, edging out her biggest rival in the country, Daphne van Peperstraten on her younger mare Wonderful Girl (by Wimbledon), which lately has been taking over the number one spot in Daphne's barn from routinier Don Camillo du Bois. Van Peperstraten scored 72.14% to place second. New comer of the year, Marten Luiten and Movie Star (by Hagelkruis Valentijn) slotted in third with a strong 71.84%, which landed her a spot on the Dutch pony A-squad.

Judge Willemien Blanken praised Kuintjes for her fine riding. "That girl rides so well. It all looks relaxed and all movements were ridden meticulously," said Blanken. "Daphne also rode well but at this level all points counts. A few things were just a little less in order and the pony can be a bit quicker from behind." Blanken also liked Marten's style of riding. "He sits on his pony as if he's doing nothing. He rides honestly, has a nice contact with the bit and the hind leg is nice with the pony swinging through the body."

Fifty-two combinations were nominated to compete, forty were definitely entered and in the end only 32 showed up.
