Daphne van Peperstraten won the sixth and final leg of the 2016 KNHS FEI Pony Cup which was held in Kootwijk, The Netherlands, on Saturday 7 May 2016. After qualifiers in Nieuw en St. Joosland, Vragender, Genemuiden, Berkel-Enschot and Almelo, the Kootwijk trial was the last one before the finals in Sevenum on 18 June 2016.
Daphne van Peperstraten and her 2015 Dutch team pony Don Camillo du Bois (by Dornik B) was unbeatable and won the sixth leg with 71.50%. Van Peperstraten was the only one to crack the 70% market. Second placed Romy Verweij came close on Brouwershaven Nairobi and finished second with 69.44%. Brandy Bos and Charming Forêt (by Bodo) landed third place with 67.99%
Judge Monica Drohm commented: "There was no doubt abut it. Daphne was the highlight in this group. She rode very well, and everything was on the dot. Romy also rode a very good test. She had a few small issues in the canter part. They are details, but that's what it is all about at this level."
