Don Carpintero, Price Highlight at the 2016 Westfalian Summer Auction

The 5-year old Don Carpintero became the price highlight of the 2016 Westfalian Summer Auction "Handorf Extra" held in Munster on 5 June 2016. The dark bay gelding (by Dante Weltino x Don Marco) sold for 70,000 euro.

Don Carpintero is bred by the late Herbert de Baey and has been purchased by a north German customer.

The second most expensive horse at the auction was the 4-year old black mare Rosa Rot (by Ribery Gold x Royal Dancer). She achieved a knock down price of 48,000 euro and moves to Canada. The 4-year old chestnut gelding Don Davignon (by Don Juan de Hus x Davignon) switched owners for 45,000 euro and will relocate to Baden-Wurttemberg.

The 6-year old chestnut mare Fidchi (by Ferragamo x Lacock) sold for 38,500 euro to Bavaria, whereas the bay 5-year old mare Dorfprinzessin (by Demirel x De Niro) will move to a new barn in Baden-Wurttemberg for 31,500 euro.

Thirty-two horses sold at this auction and they achieved an average price of 17,250 euro. Six of those sold abroad with three horses moving to Holland, one to Canada, Great Britain and Italy.
