The 22nd Manfred Swarvoski Memorial Dressage Show in Fritzens, Austria, will take place 1 - 3 July 2016, and is all about the Olympics this year. For the Austrian Para Dressage Team with Pepo Puch the tickets to Rio are given at the Austrian Championships. For the German Team and Isabell Werth it will be the last test before the Olympic Games. Here is a first glance of the programme, starters' field and highlights of this international 4* competition at Schindlhof.
The CDI 4* at Schindlhof in Fritzens, Austria, is an important station on the way to Rio. Show host Evelyn Haim-Swarovski and Klaus Haim are looking forward to the 22nd edition of their high class international show for dressage riders, which will also see again in the Olympic dressage arena in Brazil.
Riders from all across the globe are travelling to the 22nd Manfred Swarvoski Memorial Dressage Show in the Tyrolean village of Fritzens as a dress rehearsal and qualifier for Rio, which begin on 5 August 2016. Germany's leading dressage riders are coming to the CDI Fritzens, including Olympic champion, triple World Champion, five-time European Champion and eight-time German Champion Isabell Werth. She will be joined by Dorothee Schneider, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, Ulla Salzgeber, Victoria Michalke and Stefanie Weihermüller.
In addition to the CDI 4*, the Austrian Championships for para dressage riders will take place at the Schindlhof. Pepo Puch, the 2012 Paralympic gold and bronze medal winner, is happy that for the first time an Austrian team will be going to the Paralympics in Rio, on 7 - 18 September 2016. Dressage selector Eva-Maria Bachinger and chef d'equipe Theres Rantner-Payer use Schindlhof as final Austrian team paralympic qualifier.

The Manfred Swarovski Trophy is given to the most successful pair of the CDI4* Schindlhof (the percentages of the GP and GP Special respectively of the GP and GP Freestyle are added together). The winner is allowed to take home this valuable Swarovski crystal piece for a year. After winning three times the winner is allowed to keep the trophy for good. In 2014, Austria’s 13-time state champion Victoria Max-Theurer achieved this.
