The 18-year-old Jil-Marielle Becks from Senden and her 8-year-old sports partner Damon's Satelite were in victory mood at Future Champions CDIO-PJYR Hagen at the Hof Kasselmann, grabbing a hattrick. They managed to take three times the lead at the CDIOY-Tour and were the measure of all things among the young riders in Hagen.
In the CDIO-Y Young Rider Freestyle Final, presented by the Liselott and Klaus Rheinberger-Foundation, she won the class with a final score of 78.042% and relegated her German colleagues to the following places. It was the first time that the winner of the “Preis der Besten” in Warendorf presented her new freestyle in Hagen under tournament conditions.
“My old freestyle was simply too easy,” explained Becks. “A friend from a studio in the neighbourhood produced the music, and he also co-operated with the producer of the music group “Unheilig” – the music simply suits us perfectly.”
The bearer of the Golden Rider’s Badge explains the success she has with her only eight-year-old Damon Hill-son with the confidence between her and her sports partner. “I have a fantastic horse. I have been riding him since he was four years old. We have gone through all training levels together. He always co-operates in the dressage ring, and I can completely rely on him,” enthuses Becks.
The other young German riders who had won the Nations Cup on Friday together with Becks, followed on place two and three. Anna-Christina Abbelen from Kempen confirmed her quality again with the Fürst Heinrich-progeny Fürst on Tour and was rewarded with 75.875% by the judges Cesar Torrente, Ulrike Nivelle and Yuri Romanov.
Anna-Lisa Theile from Bühren scored 73.792% and completed the successful German trio on the winner’s rostrum with Ducati K, a half brother of Damon’s Satellite. The Danish riders Maja Andreasen and Alexandra Sörensen occupied the following places, followed by Marjan Hooge from the Netherlands on place six.
Guseynova Takes Children's Final
The Russian rider Anna Guseynova won the CDIOCh Final in the children’s division. She rode her 11-year-old Laudabilis-son Lauda to 74.688%. Caroline Locklair, Valentina Pistner and Helena Ernst, the victorious team of the Children Nations Cup, came in second to fourth.
The winner’s rostrum of the CDI-Tour in the children’s division (CDI-Ch) was again decorated with German colours. Joya Catharina Stolpmann from Quickborn won with Dajano and 72.031%, followed by Aylin Wichnewski from Sittensen with Florion and Antonia Gress from Norderstedt with Desperado SV.
Home Win for Leonie Richter
The schedule in the dressage stadium on Saturday morning 11 June 2016 featured the Young Rider Freestyle Final in the CDIY-Tour, presented by Hof Kasselmann GmbH & Co. KG. Leonie Richter from Bad Essen took the lead of the field of 18 competitors in total.
The 20-year old rider earned 73.708%. Her feeling today was that Babylon, her 10-year old Westfalian horse by Belissimo M, was even better, the local hero happily said when being asked about her victory at Future Champions. „He is a very nice horse and always tries to avoid mistakes,“ Richter said about the chestnut gelding who has been owned by her family since his fourth birthday. She started the first time with him when he was six years old.
Claire-Louise Averkorn from Nottuln only achieved two points less, scoring 73.500% with the KWPN-gelding Alonso V, outpacing the winner of the other tests of this tour. Anna-Christina Abbelen from Kempen and First Lady achieved 73.458%. Marie-Christina Kogel from Sindelfingen and Anna-Louisa Fuchs from Hirschberg occupied the places four and five, followed by Rebecca Jane Edwards from Great Britain.
