It promises to be one in a thousand. The EDS-auction, supported by KWPN, will take place at the National Equestrian Centre (The Netherlands) on Saturday 30 July 2016. A special collection of horses will go under the hammer during the 2016 World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo. The Excellent Dressage Sales is an initiative of renowned names in the dressage industry: Tim Coomans, Joep Schellekens, Joop van Uytert and Nico de Witte, in collaboration with KWPN. The auction is a unique opportunity to acquire an alluring dressage horse or quality foal.
The top scorer of the Performance Test Four Legends was the first horse that was selected in this illustrious group of dressage horses. With Marieke van der Putten, stable rider for Olympic riders Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud, the elegant black horse has achieved appealing results. The Wynton-son qualified for the finals in Verden with 9.32 points as a five-year-old and is successful in the young horses competitions. Zaïra, the Grand Prix horse in the EDS-collection, is a seasoned dressage horse. The mare gained a lot of experience at national competitions, won many Small Tour-classes and already celebrated success on the highest level. Another highlight in the collection is the four-year-old top talent Horatio. The Florencio-son qualified for the Pavo Cup finals with a 9 for the canter. The foal collection includes amongst others the Governor-daughter LaReyna de Jeu. Her dam Sisther de Jeu, for years of great value to the Dutch A-kader under Edward Gal, contributed to the European team silver in 2011. Without a doubt the eye catcher of the foals is the full brother of dressage legend Valegro. This Lelegro is a son of the preferente Negro out of the keur mare Maifleur (by Gershwin). In addition, young prospects sired by Apache, Bordeaux, Don Tango, Charmeur, High Five U.S. and De Niro out of established damlines go under the hammer.
Try-outs
When you are interested in one or more auction horses, please schedule an appointment with the organization to view the horse(s) and for a try-out under the saddle. Riding the horses during a try-out occurs entirely on own risk.
Tickets
The KWPN/EDS-auction takes place in the main arena of the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses on Saturday the 30th of July, starting at 16.30 hours.
