Flying Dutchman, Price Highlight of the 2016 Westfalian Elite Foal Auction

The bay colt Flying Dutchman became the price highlight of the 2016 Westfalian Elite Foal Auction held in Munster-Handorf, Germany, on 30 July 2016.

The colt by First Ampere x Diamond Hit is bred and owned by Marita Meyer and sold for 95,000 euro to Helmut von Fircks, who also owns sire First Ampere (by Ampere x Weltruhm).

Galga Schwätzler's chestnut colt Friedemann (by Franziskus x Jazz Rubin) was the second most expensive foal of the auction. It sold for 35,000 euro. The black tolt Sir Helmut (by Sir Donnerhall x Benetton Dream) sold for 31,000 euro. It is bred by Jacqueline Tenambergen.

The most expensive filly was the grey jumping bred Madame Tussaud (by Monte Bellini x Cornet Obolensky). The filly is bred by Antonius Bornemann and sold for 19,000 euro.

Hermann Kretz' bay filly Rosenstolz (by Rock for Me x Sir Donnerhall) switched owners for 17,500 euro.  The top selling pony foal was the dark bay colt Naseweis (by Navignon x Nabucco R) which sold for 5,500 euro.

The average price for a sport horse foal at this auction was 8,387 euro.
