The colt Braveheart and the filly Broadmoar Leonora became the winners of the 2016 Austrian Warmblood Foal Championships held at the 2016 Austrian Warmblood young horse championships in Stadl Paura, on 23 - 25 September 2016.
In the colt division Braveheart (by Bernay x Don Diamond x Ex Libris) topped the board with an 8.83 point score. bred by Alfred Leser, this colt got 9.0 for type, 8.5 for conformation and 9.0 for movements. Johannes Schwaiger's Falco (by Finest x Furst Grandios x Sandro Hit) became the runner-up with 8.67. This colt got 9 for type, 8 for conformation and 9 for gaits. The bronze medal went to Wolfgang Wörgötter's Aramis (by Diamond Hit x Desperados x Ron William), who earned a total of 8.33 ponts from the judges. This colt got 8.5 for type, 8 for conformation and 8.5 for movements.
In the filly division top honours went to Broadmoar stud's Leonora (by Eye Catcher x Londonderry x Interpol), who scored 8.83 points, the same total average as colt champion Braveheart. This filly got 9 for type, 8 for conformation and 9.5 for movements. Christian Grossholzner's Galerija (by Bon Coeur x Furst Grandios x Laudatios) became the runner-up with 8.67 points. She got 9 for type, 8 for conformation and 9 for gaits. Lebrecht Angerer's G-Star SA (by Goldberg x San Amour x Acord's Champion) were the bronze medalist with an 8.50 total. The filly earned 9 for type, 8 for conformation and 8.5 for gaits.
