Swedish Grand Prix rider Charlotte Haid-Bondergaard has sold her number one Grand Prix horse Triviant to her student, Ellesse Tzinberg from the Philippines.
The 16-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Olivi x Saluut made his first claim to fame being sold for 400,000 euro to Ann Kathrin Linsenhoff at the PSI Auction in December 2005. Under Matthias Rath the bright bay gelding was competed at Grand Prix level with their career highlight beingn an 8th place finish at the 2010 World Cup Finals in 's Hertogenbosch.
In March 2011 Triviant sold to Charlotte Haid-Bondergaard and the duo consistently competed from 2012 till 2016 at numerous international shows. They made their debut in Vidauban and showed at prestigious events such as Stockholm, Perl, Aachen, Hamburg, Kristiansand, Falsterbo, and Doha. They represented Sweden at the Nordic Baltic Championships in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
The 184 cm standing Triviant will now continue his Grand Prix career as a schoolmaster for Ellesse Tzinberg who has been campaigning Pavarotti at international Under 25 and senior GP level. Tzinberg has been training with Charlotte and Rasmus Bondergaard for the past two years so she is well acquainted with the horse.
Tzinberg told Eurodressage that she will try to make her show debut on Triviant in the Under 25 tour first. "We will see how quickly we can get to know each other so there aren't any plans for the next couple months," said Tzinberg. "He is a powerful horse, which is a big change for me, so I'm spending lots of time getting to know him in the saddle and around the stables."
If all goes to plan the pair will travel to Florida for the winter show circuit with qualifying for the 2017 World Cup Finals in Omaha, NE, as a non-league athlete as dream goal.
