KWPN sire Charmeur is leading the pre-selection for the 2017 KWPN Stallion Licensing with no less than 26 offspring entered to be presented on the pre-selection days which begin on 30 November 2016 in Ermelo, The Netherlands.
The 9-year old Charmeur (by Florencio x Jazz) is currently competing at small tour level under Madeleine Witte-Vrees and after winning the KWPN Stallion Performance Testing as a youngster has always been a popular stallion with Dutch horse breeders.
The second best represented stallion is Deperado (by Vivaldi x Havidoff) with 15 entered offspring. Dream Boy (by Vivaldi x Ferro) and Everdale (by Lord Leatherdale x Negro) both have 13 colts in the running, while Expression (by Vivaldi x Vincent) has 12.
The Hanoverian old timer De Niro has a remarkable 10 offspring entered, while KWPN old timer Jazz still has 8. Negro (by Ferro) has 9 offspring in the running.
Other well represented sires are Bordeaux with 9 offspring, Apache, Zack and Ferdeaux with 8 and Ampere with 7.
A total of 274 young dressage bred colts are entered to participate in the pre-selection days which take from 30 November - 3 December 2016. The late licensing dayis on 12 December.
