Dutch Welsh pony breeding stallion Verona's Bo-Gi has passed away after a period of illness at age 23. He was owned by Swedish Karin Levin Angergård.

Bred by Aalten van Vugt in The Netherlands, Verona's Bo Gi was born in 1993 and sired by Vita Nova's Celesto out of Thriantas Natalie (by Oakley Bubbling Bobbety x Keston Picador).

Bo-Gi was licensed in The Netherlands as a 3-year old and produced strong crops of foals. He ended up being proclaimed Keur stallion in Holland based on the successes of his offspring.

Karin Levin Angergård acquired the stallion in 2001 when he was 8. The stallion stamped Swedish sport pony breeding and was proclaimed elite sire there.

In 2010 the chestnut stallion briefly moved back to The Netherlands to stand at stud at A. Jurrius' station in Vorden, The Netherlands, for one season and then returned to Sweden. In 2015 the then 22-year old stallion was retired from stud.

His most well known offspring bred in The Netherlands are the approved stallion Orchard Boginov, who competed at international FEI pony level, and Vegelin's Goya, who won triple bronze at the 2016 European Pony Championships in Denmark this year. In Sweden, Hamilton's I Did It My Way became the Swedish Young Pony Champion in the 6-year old division.
