Keith Taylor, former chair of the British Equestrian Federation, has been appointed new chairman of the British Breeders Network.
In 2016 British Breeders Network saw its busiest year yet, with a range of new initiatives designed to help breeders promote their stock, achieve better sales and enhance the profile of British breeding.
From 2008 to 2016 Keith Taylor was Chairman of the British Equestrian Federation. During his period in office, the BEF benefited from record levels of investment and Team GBR achieved unparalleled equestrian sporting success. Keith’s previous professional career spanned 30+ years in senior management with Diageo Plc and Mars Inc; famous for household brands: Guinness, Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff and Pedigree pet food.
Following his ‘retirement’, Keith established the dressage breeding and training facility Seagry Stud in North Wiltshire, working with Charles Hutton as his freelance dressage rider. At Seagry Keith is active in the running of the business, exercising and schooling of the horses and managing the entire breeding programme.
Taylor is already known to many of the BNN members, thanks to an extremely interesting and stimulating talk he gave at the Stallion Event at Bury Farm in January 2016, when he spoke about his marketing experience in charge of Diageo’s highly regarded brands, and how this marketing expertise can be applied to the breeding industry.
"Keith will use his commercial marketing, brand management experience and passion for breeding to good effect in his role as BBN Chairman and will no doubt be a great asset to the network and its members, and we are excited to be working with him," said the BNN press officer.
