Daybreak M (by Desperados x Diamond Hit) became the champion of the 2017 South German Stallion Licensing which took place in Munich on 26 - 28 January 2017. Three dressage colts became premium stallions.
Forty-four dressage stallions were presented and twenty of them were licensed. Three of them were proclaimed premium.
The champion was the black Daybreak M (by Desperados x Diamont Hit) bred and owned by Beate Fischer. The champion in the show jumping lot was a Lloyd George x Exorbitant xx colt.
The other two premium dressage stallions were Dontender (by Don Nobless x Contender), bred by Andrea Kunzmann, and Fidibaldi (by Furst Romancier x Carpaccio), bred by Sabine Henning.
The auction following the licensing became a huge success for the South German studbook, where prices are normally lower than in Hanover, Oldenburg or Westfalia. Daybreak M sold for 310,000 euro to Sara Marburg, but more stunning prices were paid for the colts.
The second most expensive colt was Heidi Rakelbusch's licensed dark bay Spotify (by Sezuan x Hotline), which sold to Andreas Helgstrand for 250,000 euro. The Danish horse dealer also bought Quaterhit (by Quatergold x Sandro Hit) for 60,000 euro.
The licensed Danieli VMT (by Diamo Gold x Rubin Royal), bred by Franziska Graben, sold for 175,000 euro, while Mathieu Beckmann's licensed Sapperlot VMT (by Scuderia x Lauries Crusador xx) fetched 170,000 euro. Both these horses move to Victoria Max-Theurer's stable in Austria.
Blue Hors stud's Overgaards Za Rak (by Zack x Londonderry) achieved a knock down price of 100,000 euro and sold to Sissy Max-Theurer. She renamed him Zeffirelli MT. The premium stallion Fidibaldi (by Furst Romancier x Carpaccio) sold for 90,000 euro to Lisa Maria Klössinger, whereas Susanne Limbecker's licensed Talahassee (by Tomahawk x Samarant) sold for 82,000 euro. The premium Dontender (by Don Nobless x Contender) was bought by Hof Kasselmann for 70,000 euro.
