The Crum family, breeders of the U.S. Olympic team horse Verdades, was honoured in a special ceremony at the 2017 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch, The Netherlans, on Friday 3 February 2017.
The Crum family, who represented the late breeder Piet Crum, received this recogniation as part of KWPN's "Breeders Stimulation Plan".
Piet Crum is the breeder of Laura Graves' 15-year old Verdades. This Floret As son out of star prestation mare Liwilarda (by Goya) finished fourth at the 2016 Olympic Games and got team bronze. The bay gelding is also ranked fourth on the 2016 WBFSH Dressage Horse ranking.
The Crum family is based in Herveld, The Netherlands. The 1993 born dam Liwilarda produced nine offspring. Aside from Verdades (born 2002), his half brother Wilco C (born 2003, by Florencio) is competing at small tour level in Holland. Other get out of this mare are Together (by Ferro), Zilarda C (by Florencio), Flair (by Florencio), Biwilarda C (by Sandreo), Dream Girl C (by Spielberg), Ewilarda C (by Sir Oldenburg) and Salitos (by Spielberg).
Crum also bred Rabiola, the 2009 and 2010 Devon Breed Show winner, the 2011 Westfalian licensing champion Dubrovnik (by Diamond Hit x Regazzoni), which sold at auction for 100,000 euro to Sissy Max-Theurer, as well as the 2013 Oldenburg reserve saddle licensing champion Viva Bechta (by Vivaldi x Ferro).
