Jessica von Bredow-Werndl will not be contending for German team selection for the 2017 European Dressage Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, this summer. The German A-team rider is four months pregnant with her first child.
The 30-year old von Bredow, who will celebrate her 31st birthday on 16 February, has been married to Max von Bredow for 3.5 years and they are a couple for 8 years. He is a real estate agent by profession and also a national level eventing rider. It will be their first child togheter and the baby is due in August.
Jessica will still try to make the 2017 World Cup Finals in Omaha, NE, USA, and is currently standing in 8th place in the Western European League World Cup Finals. Jessica can either pick her number one Unee BB or her second star Zaire E, but she is still undecided on her choice.
"I'm not sure yet," she told Eurodressage about her horse for Omaha. "I will compete Unee in Göteborg next week."
