Isabell Werth and Madeleine Winter-Schulze's 15-year old Hanoverian gelding Don Johnson became the winners of the warm up class Grand Prix at the 2017 CDI-W World Cup qualifier in Neumunster, Germany, on Saturday 18 February 2017. Werth scored 75.780% for the victory and made herself the clear favourite for the freestyle victory on Sunday.
Dutch Madeleine Witte-Vrees and her husband Nico Witte and the Cuppen family's 10-year old Dutch warmblood stallion Cennin (by Vivaldi x Donnerhall) landed second place with 74.100% ahead of Helen Langehanenberg on Louise Leatherdale's 15-year old Hanoverian stallion Damsey (by Dressage Royal x Ritual) with 73.200%.
