The owners of the 2017 KWPN Licensing Champion Jameson have decided not to stand their stallion at stud this 2017 breeding season. The stallion will get a time to develop and do the autumn performance testing first.
James is by Zack and one of three embryo transfer foals dam Atilinda M (by Negro x Krack C) produced in 2014. He is bred by Willeke Bos and was acquired as an in utero foal by Saskia Lemmens and her husband Jacques of RS2 Dressage centre at the Prinsjesdag Foal Auction.
The black Jameson was readied for the licensing by Jeroen Witte and he was named the 2017 champion colt.
The owners have now decided not to rush the horse into the spring testing nor stand him at stud this year.
"We have decided for Jameson to do the performance test first before we offer him for breeding. We hope this will happen in the autumn and he will be available for breeding in 2018," said Lemmens. "We took this decision because we believe he's an extremely talented sport horse. We want to give this horse all the chances to grow and develop. And to us this seems the best way, considering his young age."
