The organizers of the annual CDIO Rotterdam have announced that some major changes will take place to the layout of the competition area for its 2017 edition, which will take place on 22 - 25 June 2017.
The main stadium will of course remain in the same position. However the second dressage competition arena, known as the "InterChem stadium" and located in the woods where the CDI 3* and Under 25 competition was held, will relocate to a different area.
The organizers want to swap around the warm-up ring of the main stadium with the Interchem stadium. This means that the warm-up of the main stadium will become a competition arena, more centrally located to the trade fair, whereas the old InterChem stadium in the woods will become the warm-up arena for the main stadium. All arenas will receive new footing.
"More spectators will be able to enjoy dressage sport at the new location of the InterChem stadium without disturbing the competitors," said show organizer Jan de Mooij. "The new spot for the warm-up will be bigger and more pleasant for the competitors, meeting the international requirements of the FEI in the lead-up to the 2019 European Championships."
