Danish Grand Prix rider Ulrik Sorensen has been appointed the new director of sport at Blue hors Stud in Randbol, Denmark. Sorensen will take up his new post as of 15 June 2017.
With Ulrik's appointment, Blue Hors aims to professionalize its sport division at the stallion station even more.
"An increased focus on the integration of several different training disciplines as well as the implementation of a new training concept with a focus on the interaction between horse and rider must help to ensure more and better results for Blue Hors Dressage both in Denmark and internationally," said Blue Hors' press officer.
Sorensen is also the Danish team trainer for the junior and young riders since 2013. He was the Norwegian youth team trainer before that. He has been managing the Skanderborg equestrian centre since 2004.
Ole Magnus Petersen, CEO at Blue Hors, stated that, "Ulrik's quiet manner and perseverance make it possible to treansfer his knowledge and flair into the right match between horse and rider with results at international top level. Through his job as national team trainer he has gained extensive experience in establishing and realizing strategies for coveted performance. Ulrik is committed to promoting the best of each individual rider inside a team."
Ole Magnus Petersen has been part of LEGO group for the past 17 years and has now replaced Mikael Kold as Blue Horse's ceo. Blue Hors owner and chairman of the board is Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, who made his fortune with the family toy business LEGO.
