At the 2017 CDIO Uggerhalne on Friday 2 June 2017, the action continued at Equitour Aalborg with packed classes in the youth riders divisions, while for senior riders the Intermediaire I was scheduled. Anna Kasprzak on Quatron swapped placed with Cathrine Dufour on Bohemian for the victory in the Intermediaire I.
Two Danish Olympic team riders made their CDI debut at small tour level with their new rising starts. While the 7-year old Westfalian bred Bohemian (by Bordeaux x Samarant) had been with Dufour since the autumn of 2016, Anna Kasprzak has only been riding the 8-year old Swedish warmblood gelding Quarton (by Quaterback x Don Schufro) eight times! in the Prix St Georges Dufour aced the class, but in the Inter I both ladies changed positions.
Kasprzak and Quarton scored 74.263% for the trophy, while Dufour finished on 73.184%. Blue Hors stud's assistant trainer Allan Fron and Zatchmo (by Zack) were third for the second time, scoring 72.579%.
"I'm so super, duper, monster proud of this little pony," said Dufour after a first and second place over two days. "Yesterday we had our international small tour debut. We had an amazing ride in the arena, and scored 73.8% and took home the victory; only 7 years old. I can't stop dreaming about the future with this horse."
After having ridden the Intermediaire II, the Under 25 young Grand Prix riders already wrapped up their show with the final freestyle class. Sille Engermann and her 14-year old Darius (by Donnerloh x Pik Solo) were a league of their own, scoring 77.160% for victory and leaving all competition miles behind her. Danish Marlene Storkborg on the 12-year old Danish bred Fritz were second with 71.680%.
In the pony divisions the two day victories in the individual test went to German Henriette Schmidt on Mister Dornik with 72.317% in the CDIO leg and to Danish Sofie Hansen on Prince of Glory with 73.699% in the CDI-leg. The small group of CDIO junior riders saw Camilla Andersen on her liver chestnut mare Rafaella K dominate again with 71.623%, while pony rider Kristian Wurtz Green already proved his worth as a junior in the CDI-division on Schuberts Don Diablo, winning the individual test with 71.535%. At Young Riders level the German Jana Schlotter and Rubin Renoir ruled the roost in the CDIO group with 71.360%, while Danish team rider Celine Rorbaek Silfen and Romio Hojris aced the CDI-class with a dominant score of 74.035%
