With the 2017 outdoor dressage season in full swing, the Finnish equestrian federation is getting a clearer picture of which Grand Prix combinations will be in the runnning for team selection for the 2017 European Dressage Championships.
Elisabet Ehrnrooth, senior team captain, and Aki Ylänne, the sport director of the Finnish federation, are looking forward to fielding a team at the the season highlight show, the 2017 Europeans in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The federation has the ambition to submit riders onto the team that have the ability to score at least 68% in the Grand Prix. Five riders so far have met this standard at least once or more:
- Terhi Stegars - Axis
- Henri Ruoste - Huracan / Dixiland
- Mikaela Lindh - Bellissimo L / Skovlunds Gamin G
- Stella Hagelstam - New Hill Julitrea
- Kristina Bockmann - Der Kleine Lord
Several more horses have achieved the FEI standard of 65% but the goal is 68%
