The German Equestrian Federation, team trainer Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen and assistant team trainer Oliver Oelrich have drafted a short list of riders who are candidate for a German team spot for the 2017 European Junior/Young Riders Championships in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, on 9 - 13 August 2017.
The top scoring German junior and young riders which competed at the Preis der Besten in May were invited to contest two official selection trials: one in Wiesbaden and the CDIO-PJYR Hagen last weekend.
Instead of actually picking the teams now, the German federation opted for a short list of riders, who have to prove form one more time at a special training camp at the DOKR headquarters in Warendorf on 18 - 19 July before the actual teams are announced.
