British FEI pony rider Isobel Lickley has taken over the ride on British team pony SL Lucci. The 15-year old German Riding Pony was the 2013 and 2015 European Pony Champion.
SL Lucci is by Lucas x Bazar and owned by Phoebe Peters
Phoebe and the dark bay gelding won the 2013 and 2015 European Pony Championships with world record scores. In 2014 they won silver at the Euros.
As Peters had reached the age limit, the pony was leased to British eventing ride Anya Kolleth who switched to dressage and made her CDI debut on Lucci in 2017. The pair represented Great Britain at the 2017 European Pony Championships in Kaposvar, Hungary, and placed ninth individually.
For the 2018 show season, SL Lucci has moved to Isobel Lickley's yard. The 13-year old made her CDI debut in 2016 on former British team pony Gigolo. She also campaigned Valido's Sunshine at the same time and has been competing both ponies internationally in 2017. Lickley has now added SL Lucci to her string.
"What a fab end to the summer holidays," said Lickley. "Great fun with this one (SL Lucci) today and very excited to say he has joined the team for 2018 season. Thanks to the amazing Phoebe for trusting me with him and teaching me the secrets!"
